LTC CONSERVATION ADVISORY SERVICES

LTC Conservation Advisory Services (LTCCAS) provides private clients with strategic advice and transaction structuring in the following areas: sales of land and conservation easements to local, state and federal conservation agencies; selection and management of appraisal teams for the valuation of land and conservation easement sales, donations and bargain-sales; planning, development and marketing of limited development components of larger conservation land holdings; negotiation of bargain-sale acquisitions on behalf of client non-profit organizations and structuring of tax-deferred exchange transactions. Each advisory relationship is tailored to the needs of the client. Current and past clients include families with major land holdings, non-profit conservation organizations, private foundations and publicly and privately held forest product companies.

Beyond conservation transaction advice, LTC Conservation Advisory Services has designed land conservation grant initiatives for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, anonymous donors in the Northwest and Vermont, the Merck Family Fund, and the Dorothy and Gaylord Donnelly Foundation.

The Company has completed projects with The Nature Conservancy, The Conservation Fund, Trust for Public Land, Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, Vermont Land Trust, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Whatcom Land Trust, Mesa Land Trust, Utah Open Lands, Upper Valley Land Trust, Trust for Appalachian Trail Lands, Green Mountain Club, Lummi Island Heritage Trust, and a number of State and Federal agencies.
