LYME TIMBER GENERAL MANAGEMENT

General management of The Lyme Timber Company is vested in Stuart J. McCampbell, Peter R. Stein, Thomas Morrow, and James W. Hourdequin.

MANAGEMENT BIOGRAPHIES

Stuart J. McCampbell: Scott joined The Lyme Timber Company in 1986 as a senior manager. Prior to joining the Company, he managed the largest division of the American Paper Institute (now the AF&PA) and worked closely with forest products industry CEOs on industry policy, economic, and trade matters. Scott currently serves on the board of the Forest History Society.  He earned a B.A. from Trinity College in 1968.

Peter R. Stein:  Peter joined The Lyme Timber Company in 1990 and provides leadership in the development and structuring of conservation-oriented forestland and rural land purchases and dispositions.  Peter also manages the Company’s conservation advisory business.  Prior to joining the Company, Peter was Senior Vice President of the Trust for Public Land (TPL) where he directed TPL's conservation real estate acquisitions in the Northeast and Midwest. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Appalachian Mountain Club and serves on the Boards of Island Press and the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation. Peter earned a B.A. with Highest Honors from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1975 and a Certificate in Advanced Environmental Studies from Harvard University in 1981.

Thomas Morrow:  Tom joined The Lyme Timber Company in 1983 and manages the Company’s forestland investment activities associated with the acquisition, operation, and disposition of forestland and conservation easements. He has experience purchasing and managing timber and rural land holdings throughout the Northeast, the Lakes States, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Appalachia.  Tom earned a B.S. Cum Laude from the SUNY School of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse in 1977.

James W. Hourdequin:  Jim joined The Lyme Timber Company in 2005 and manages the financing, investment and operating activities associated with the Company’s forestland properties. In addition to acquisitions and investment management, Jim provides leadership on tax and reporting matters for the Company’s limited partner investors. His past experience includes ownership and management of a timber harvesting/ contracting business in New Hampshire and Vermont. Jim earned an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School in 2005 and a B.A. Cum Laude in Biology from Dartmouth College in 1998.

Thomas P. Yurkosky, CPA:  Tom serves as Controller for The Lyme Timber Company Controller and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, income tax compliance, and human resource functions. Prior to joining the Company in 1999, he was Vice President-Finance at Selectronics Corporation/Waitsfield Telecom in Waitsfield, Vermont, where he was responsible for the overall financial operations of these telecommunications companies. He served as Audit Manager at KPMG Peat Marwick in Boston, Massachusetts from 1987-91.  Tom earned a B.S. Cum Laude from the University of Hartford in 1980.

Sean Ross:  Sean joined The Lyme Timber Company in 2004 and serves as the Company’s Forestry Operations Manager.  He is responsible for oversight of third party forestland managers and forest management on current holdings.  Sean has extensive experience as a forester, directing forest inventory projects, managing timber harvesting operations, and securing and monitoring third party forest certification (both FSC and SFI).  He is a licensed New Hampshire Forester and a member of the Society of American Foresters.  Sean earned a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Vermont in 1997. 

Frederick J. Weyerhaeuser:  Rick joined The Lyme Timber Company in 2000 and is responsible for communications with the Company's investors.  He also undertakes special projects and is involved in the development of conservation-related investment and disposition opportunities. Rick is a former State Director of the Massachusetts Chapter of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and for ten years was Director of the World Wildlife Fund's Africa Program. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Seventh American Forest Congress, the Student Conservation Association, the Minnesota Chapter of TNC, and the Forest History Society. He is currently on the Board of the New England Forestry Foundation and also serves on the Leadership Council for the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Rick earned a B.S. from Yale University in 1977 and a Master of Forest Science from Yale in 1983.

Mary McBryde:  Mary is a Project Manager for The Lyme Timber Company, focusing primarily on the Company's advisory business. She advises foundations and family and corporate landowners on a variety of land conservation projects and is responsible for structuring and negotiating multiple land and conservation easement transactions. She is a former Land Protection Assistant with the Jackson Hole Land Trust where she negotiated conservation easements and coordinated their conservation buyer program.  Mary earned a B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1992 and a Master of Science in Forestry from the University of Washington in 1998.
