Joe Currie

Joe joined Lyme in 2019.  At Lyme, Joe is responsible for overseeing harvesting and forest engineering activities across Lyme’s land base and developing opportunities to enhance forest operations quality, safety, and productivity. Prior to Lyme, Joe worked for Weyerhaeuser Company as Forest Engineer in the Pacific Northwest where he managed land base infrastructure, planned and developed harvest units, and managed road construction and rock development. Prior to Weyerhaeuser, Joe was owner and Director of Banner Forest Resources, P.C., a contract timber falling and forestry services company where he managed a company of hand fallers, planned and developed harvest units, and managed private timberlands across the southern Appalachian landscape. Joe completed a B.S. in Natural Resources from the University of the South in 1998 and a Master of Forestry from Virginia Tech in 2006. He is a NC Registered Forester, and member of the Society of American Foresters and Council on Forest Engineering.
