Lyme will work with the state and county governments to secure a conservation outcome on the majority of these lands, which are key conservation targets in Wisconsin and are surrounded by conserved lands managed by a prior Lyme fund.

Florida’s Governor and Cabinet approved the easement purchase, which is over a portion of the Lyme Cross City Forest located in Florida’s Big Bend region.
The property includes highly productive stands of redwood and Douglas fir and nearly the entire watershed of the 10 Mile River, which is critical salmon habitat.
Collectively known as the West Virginia Bunrootis mitigation banks, the acquisition includes four stream mitigation banks spread across five counties in West Virginia.
The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board approved the largest land conservation purchase in Wisconsin history by voting 7-0 to proceed with the second phase of a 65,867 acre working forest conservation easement on Lyme St. Croix Forest Company lands.
The property, known as the Lyme Gilman Forest, is located near Florida’s Gulf coast within the largest area of privately-owned roadless land remaining in the state.
Pending support from the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO), The Palmer Land Trust will purchase a conservation easement on the Lyme BX Ranch.
In July 2014, the Lyme Forest Fund III purchased the BX Ranch, consisting of approximately 25,000 acres of ranchland outside of Pueblo, Colorado. Lyme was invited into the transaction by the Palmer Land Trust and the Colorado chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
This is the third forestland acquisition made by Fund III in the Big Bend region of Florida. The property is located in Florida’s “woodbasket,” – vast pine forests of the northern part of the state that have long played a critical role in the region’s economy and heritage. The Lafayette Forest property is located very near the western banks of the Suwannee River and shares approximately eight miles of its western boundary with the Mallory Swamp Restoration Area.
