The Lyme Forest Fund III Purchases 19,500-acre timberland property in Gilchrist County, Florida
The property includes intensively managed slash pine plantations and unique wetland and bottomland hardwood areas. Located in the Suwannee and Santa Fe river watersheds, the forests in this property help protect water quantity and quality in these rivers and nearby receiving estuaries on the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, the entire site is located within an aquifer recharge area, which helps to protect the region’s springs.

The Lyme Forest Fund III Invests in Mitigation Bank in Richland County, South Carolina
In partnership with Eco-Capital Advisors LLC, a holding company formed by the Funds purchased a 2,555-acre property of undeveloped real estate in Richland County, South Carolina, just outside of Columbia. The property is well-suited to the development of stream and mitigation banks.

The Lyme Forest Fund III Purchases 46,000 acres of forestland in Dixie County, Florida
The property was purchased in partnership with The Conservation Fund and is a major conservation priority due to its size and proximity to the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, the Big Bend Wildlife Management Area owned by the State of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and 32,000 acres of timberlands already protected by a working forest conservation easement held by the Suwannee River Water Management District.
